Money Saver!

Ok I just confirmed this cause I bought one. But this week Walmart is selling JennyO Turkeys for 40 cents a pound. I just bought an 18 pound Turkey for $7.40 (tax included) So hurry your butts to Walmart cause they are going super fast.

Happy Halloween

So this was my first year with trick or treaters, and I have to say I was pretty excited. So I am passing out candy to all the kiddies and I had a realization. We always heard as kids and you say it to your own.. Don't take candy from strangers. But Halloween is the one night they're allowed too.?!?
This left me with more questions than answers but I digress.
All the kids were so cute and Paul and I even dressed up Bryce as a cowboys horse The hat didn't make it through the night but the saddle and cowboy rode that bucking bronco into submission. :)
Just for fun we also put it on the cat. I think it looks way better on the cat but that could be because of the reaction we got from her and it was ice cold. lol

Progress Report

Paul and I did a wonderful thing Saturday - We installed our pantry cabinets all by our selves. Oh how I have missed you storage. Not only did the cabinets go up on the wall but we also replaced the door fronts with the ones that match our existing cabinets. You can't even tell that the doors and boxes are two different brands. GO TEAM. We still have two more cabinets to install in the kitchen before toe kicks and molding can go up and those should be arriving at the end of this week or early next week.

Also we were finally able to get the Dryer completely fixed (long story, would have happened sooner but darn that cabinet guy!) So now our dryer door stays shut while in use. Yeah no more bungees!

You all know that I hate my living room walls right. Why do I hate my walls.. this is why..
When we moved in we nick named the living room the Dinosaur Room cause it was painted Dinosaur green and the texture looked like scales. So I painted two walls white to see if it was just the color that I didn't like.. It wasn't. So I took matters into my own hands Sunday and I started to skim coat the walls. This is just the first layer but already the wall is less bumpy. Soon it will be nice and smooth and worthy of painting. Yeah!

Fall Has Arrived At My House

One of the selling points of our house was the big shade tree in the front yard. Well I neglected to consider the amount of mess the tree would produce came fall time. So Paul and Bryce went to work Saturday raking the leaves that had fallen. Well Paul raked and Bryce he just played in the piles. It took all day. We even had some of the neighborhood kids come over and ask to rake up the lawn so they could play in the piles. And how could I say no, I always wanted to do that when I was little but never had a tree that produced a big enough pile. Anyway by days end the yard was green again and when we woke up the next morning it was again covered in fall leaves.

PAULS BDAY ACTIVITY

I have been a seriously bad blogger the past week. Sorry for not posting these hiking pics till now. Paul and I took Bryce up to Stewart Falls for Paul birthday. It was a 4 mile hike (2 miles each way) and the view was so beautiful. The dog really enjoyed the outing and so did the birthday boy, and we even found snow!

Its Birthday Time Again!

ITS PAUL'S BIRTHDAY!!! Happy birthday honey. Your 24 today and everyone is so happy that 24 years ago you came into this world and changed all our lives for the better. We love you!! For your big day we will be going on a mini day hike to Stewart Falls Saturday and have a picnic. Bonus - Bryce wants to celebrate your day as well so he talked me into letting him come, YEAH!!! New Moon Soundtrack

OK so for those of you who are true Twihard than this isn't new info, but for those of you that are still in the closet (lol) here is some great info. You might or might not know that the New Moon Movie soundtrack is being released later this month, but you might not know this. There is this absolutely fantastic artist on the soundtrack - Anya Marina - and she has been kind enough to put her New Moon song on her myspace.
